Bobby Stanton
Fingerstyle virtuosity spanning jazz, country, fusion, and classical — from the Berklee stage to the studios of Nashville.
Bobby Stanton is a master guitarist, acclaimed performer, and world-class educator whose career has spanned decades. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Bobby was the first student ever to receive the school's prestigious Ovation Award, marking him early on as a singular talent with extraordinary potential.
A seasoned musician since his teenage years, Bobby has shared stages and studios with a remarkable roster of artists, including James Taylor, Bo Diddley, Hal Blaine, Sleepy LaBeef, the Temptations, the Drifters, Charlie Daniels, and Noel Redding. His range has carried him to stages such as A Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor and A Welcome Home Christmas with Dave Brubeck.
His songwriting has been recognized with awards from BMI and ASCAP, and his insights as a guitarist and educator have appeared in international publications, including Guitar Player magazine. As a performer he draws on deep roots in jazz — particularly the legacy of Lenny Breau — alongside country, fusion, and the multicultural origins of American music.
A musical force with an unshakable passion for elevating every note he plays, Bobby Stanton continues to inspire audiences and students alike.
